Does a real estate agent really need a website?Yes. At the very minimum, your website is your business card and your address on the internet. But it should be so much more than that. The Center of Your Marketing Technology Stack Your website should be the foundation for your marketing technology stack. What's that? All of the applications and services that you use to market yourself as a Realtor should be be connected to your website. Your website should serve as a single command center for all marketing activities. Your website should be "the single source of truth" when it comes to measuring the effectiveness of all marketing, especially social media marketing. Your 24 Hour Customer Service Center Your website should be where you meet many customers for the first time. Your website should be a place prospective customers can come to learn about you and your qualifications. Your website is the system you will use to manage your buyer's home search. Your website should include useful information, reference materials and links to recommended reading when they have questions about any part of the transaction lifecycle. Make your website a USEFUL asset to your clients. Proof Point Let's be honest. Real estate is largely an image game. You need to look competent and successful, but maybe not too successful. Let me put it this way, I never met a top producer who didn't have a website, and I never met a real estate agent who didn't have a website who was a top producer. So don't kid yourself. If real estate is really your career and you want to make a lot of money. Yes, you really need a website.

Do I really need IDX (Listings) on my web site? Doesn't everybody use Zillow anyway?Yes, you would be well served to include listings on your website. I used to question this. Until I was exposed to the data, it seemed perfectly logical. Consumers will use Zillow, Realtor.com, RedFin, Trulia etc. instead of using my site. But it's not true. Over 85% of all activity on agent websites is spent looking at listings. We measure this with Google Analytics. It's consistent across all agent sites, at all times of the year. A full-featured IDX site will include at least basic CRM functionality. You will use your site, not the MLS, to set up saved searches and listing alerts for your clients. You will be able to see what houses they like and what else they're looking at. The most successful agents I've seen are those using their website to manage buyer activity. Using a Microsoft technology called "Clarity" we can create simulated movies of what each visitor does while on your website. It's fascinating to see how users navigate your website, what information they stop to read and especially, how they browse listings. Here's a sample: (NOTE: There is no audio) If you're a full-time, established Realtor, there is no question that you need a full featured IDX website with at least basic CRM. It's simply a fact, a cost of doing business. That doesn't mean you have to start with an IDX-enabled site. If you're new, part-time, or just working on referral, start with a "Business Card" site. If you keep working hard and writing business, you'll know when you need to upgrade.

How Long is the Time Commitment When Buying a Site? The initial period of service is a 6 month subscription. Beyond 6 months, the subscription renews automatically on a monthly basis. You may cancel at anytime with 30 days written notice.
-
How Will My Site Get Updated? The basic expectation is that every client / Realtor will learn the basics of blogging and be able to add content to the site via the blog. The underlying Wix platform is designed to be easy-to-use and accessible to non-technical users. You should be able to quickly learn to make updates and changes to your site. For the Non-Technical You included support plan provides for 1 hour per month of website maintenance, design, etc. You may use this service for help with blogging or any other site changes. Time beyond 1 hour per month will be billed at our standard hourly rate.

Is Support Included?Yes. As a preferred client of Loudoun Digital, a status exclusive to the agents of Hunt Country Sotheby's International Realty, you are entitled to 24x7 support. Do I "Own" My Website?Yes. What does that mean? It means that all data (e.g. Google Analytics) generated by your website is yours to take with you should you cancel. The same goes for any content you've created on the site. You can take all of your blog posts with you if you decide to move to a new website. Also true for any images or video developed for your site. All of your digital assets are valuable and belong to you exclusively. In the event you move to another service, you'll find us extremely cooperative in helping you make a smooth transition.
